MONDAY

Tech Support

Needing some help with your computer, laptop or phone? We have computer technicians who know what they are talking about and want to assist the community. Monday morning between 9am and 12pm. Grab a cuppa whilst you wait. This service is free, but donations are much appreciated.

Coffee and friendship

Great company, lots of fun! Come for morning tea and meet new people. Every Monday 10:30am - 11:30am. Gold coin donation.

Mahjong

A friendly group for people wanting to play Mahjong, the ancient Chinese game with bamboo, circles, characters, winds and dragons; pungs, kongs and chows. All are welcome from beginners to experienced players. Mondays 12:30pm - 2:30pm. Gold coin donation.

Card making club

A weekly club for keen greeting card makers who want to meet with others of similar interests, to share ideas and techniques. New members are always welcome. All materials are provided. Mondays 1pm - 3pm during school term. $5 per week.

TUESDAY

Scrabble

Come along and play scrabble with a friendly group. Exercise your brain and have fun. Tuesday mornings at 9:45am-12pm. Gold coin donation.

Women’s social walking group

Enjoy a range of walks around the local area and stay afterwards to savour good company and a cuppa at the community hub. Wear appropriate shoes and clothing suitable for weather conditions. Meet at the Hub, 94 Farrington Avenue, every Tuesday at 9:30am (summer) / 10:00am (winter). $25 subscription per year. Come along and try us out for free.

POND - Parents with neurodiverse children

Are you one of the special few to be raising a neurodiverse child ? We have a friendly support group for parents, to chat with each other about: having similar challenges, celebrating wins, sharing ideas and finding tools and resources that work. Facilitated by a qualified social worker. Meets every Tuesday at 10.00am during term time.

WEDNESDAY

Rummikub group

Come along and learn to play this easy to learn, fast moving game, which has elements of the card game rummy and mahjong. Meet every Wednesday 10:00am-12.00pm. Gold coin donation. Morning tea included. Gold coin donation.

Craft group

An informal, friendly group for knitters, crocheters and crafters - all welcome. Bring your own craftwork. This group is supported by an experienced tutor. Wednesdays 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Gold coin donation.

500 card group

Come along and play 500 with a friendly bunch. Make friends and have fun. Beginners welcome. Afternoon tea provided. Wednesdays 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Gold coin donation.

THURSDAY

Community lunch

Come and enjoy a shared lunch of yummy soup in winter and sandwiches in summer time. Everyone welcome. Great company and lots of laughs. 11:30am - 12:30pm every Thursday. Gold coin donation.

Other activities

Cooking Workshops

Do you want to be a more confident cook? Come and build some confidence in cooking some basic meals using everyday ingredients - cost effective, adaptable to likes/dislikes, seasonal, nutritional and fun. Block of four sessions. Contact us for the next available course.

Minecraft Community

A safe online community for young people to play Minecraft together through a monitored server. Young people will need to register and will be expected to follow specific rules to ensure that we know who is part of the online community and that it is a safe place for everyone.
